The [BR] behind BR | Fine Art

Growing up in California had a perk of being surrounded by National Parks and Pacific Coast beaches and began this artist’s love of nature. Breya was raised by artistic parents which meant many summers and breaks spent coloring, creating, and staying busy with any artsy activity. Starting at an early age, Breya and her siblings were exposed to various types of art which encouraged her to explore every kind of medium she could. Breya spent most of her adolescents daydreaming and drawing her favorite things: desolate beaches with dense fog and detailed, drapey fashion gowns. Thinking she would be the next ‘Elizabeth James’ Breya spent every moment lost in fashion magazines, sketch pads, paints and color pencils - creating flowy, delicate artwork. College, marriage, and then parenthood came fast. The escape in creating art was difficult to dive back into with so much going on.

In 2018, Breya relocated to Portland, OR with her husband and their 2-year old, excited for the adventures that would await. Endless days exploring PNW forests and gardens, camping, hiking, healing near waterfalls, all inspired her and gave life to an itch that had not been scratched for years. Quarantine from the pandemic brought solitude and isolation that yearned for paints and canvas to nurture. After five years, Breya and her family relocated back to California. Having reconnected with her love of creating art and her husband’s consistent encouragement - Breya began to dedicate time to her first love again. The more she painted and created, the more peace she felt, the more confident she became, and the more serious she took creating as her portfolio grew. Within her studio space in their home, surrounded by her own artwork, she set the intention of creating art as a career. In April 2026, Breya became CEO of BR Atelier LLC, and created BR | Fine Art website. To keep the intention in motion, Breya continues to create timeless artwork aiming to reach her next milestone of becoming a full-time artist before 2027. A big goal, but reaching for the stars is nothing new to this artist.

Breya is forever entranced by the beauty and magic in fog-blanketed beaches, cascading mountains, and deep valleys. Forever intrigued discovering patterns in nature, getting lost in the wind, losing track of time as clouds migrate and change form while the sky chameleons like a mood ring. Forever trying to extend the memory or feeling of nature and the little luxuries in life through all her paintings. Breya’s artwork is created for people to stop in their tracks, escape the woes of the world, and take a deep breath into something beautiful, maybe familiar, and most definitely unique.
